The New Eve Lom Moisture Cream

Hello everyone!

For today’s read I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the new moisture cream from Eve Lom. If you haven’t heard about this yet, Eve Lom (one of my absolute faves) is launching a new moisture cream which will be available from the 1st of April. I’ve been fortunate enough to be sent a full size sample of this to test out and as with all of Eve Lom’s products I’ve tried so far, I’m loving it. Big time. So if you want to find out why, keep reading!

What is it?

This is a new moisturiser in the Eve Lom arsenal that claims to hydrate skin for up to 72hrs. It does this by using PrimalHyal Ultrafiller which is a new form of hyaluronic acid that is supposed to fill fine lines, wrinkles and leave skin plump and refreshed.

The cream also claims to contain antipollution properties and antioxidants in the form of Peach Flower and White Horehound. They carried out a test on 100 users and 85% claimed that this “visibly reduced the appearance of fine lines” which is pretty decent compared to most other creams that say they do this.

So this is not only supposed to moisturise your skin, but it’s also supposed to hydrate and protect it from pollutants. All these together should leave your skin plump, soft and glowing from within.

If you haven’t yet tried any Eve Lom products, I want to highlight how amazing their packaging is. This is one of those things that only some people care about, but to me they feel super luxurious and makes the whole experience of using their products better. I also like that this cream comes with a little spatula. It means you don’t need to use fingers to get the product out, making the whole process a lot more hygienic.

Does it work?

Well I’ve been using it morning and evening for just over a week now and I can definitely see it working. I have oily skin that’s prone to dehydration so my skin can be a bit fussy when it comes to moisturising creams – I especially hate creams that are too thick and end up sitting on top of my skin and just create a sticky film all over my face.

That didn’t happen with this cream. I find it sinks into my skin really well and absorbs after about 5-10min. It has quite a creamy, luxurious texture but once applied it feels very refreshing. I have a small line on my forehead and I can’t say I’ve seen it make any difference to that, but I can’t imagine anything but Botox (or retinol) would get rid of a line in a few days anyway – although I’m curious to see if I notice a difference after using this for a longer period of time.

With the cold weather, my skin has been feeling a bit sensitive and abused. This cream definitely helped. It felt nourishing and seems to work well even on my sensitive areas. It feels more plump, and definitely more hydrated although I can’t say I’d go as far as saying it hydrates for 72hrs – this might be because it is especially dehydrated in these winter months.

The verdict?

I love it. However – it costs £105. I’m a huge Eve Lom fan, and I feel very loyal to the brand so I personally would buy it but I can appreciate not everyone would spend that sort of money on a face cream. Like I’ve said in previous blog posts, I think serums and treatments should be the skincare steps where you invest your money so if you’re on a tight budget you might want to skip this one. But if that isn’t a concern for you or you want to invest in all steps of your skincare routine (my personal preference), by all means go for it because it really is a very refreshing cream and I would say you can feel what you’re paying for when you apply it – it feels 100% luxe.

The cream is available from April 1st so keep an eye out for it!

Until next time!
